The Double Transformation of North Macedonia
The Double Transformation of North Macedonia is a report from a survey conducted under the EU Observatory – Chapter 27 project, which clarifies the green framework that includes the European Union Green Agreement, the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, the Economic and Investment Plan and the Regulation on IPA-3. This research analyzes the green framework, conducts mapping of the identified funds for their implementation, as well as the programmed projects that will benefit the state. Additionally, the research maps and the identified obligations undertaken by the Government to participate in the financing of projects. Finally, the report provides an overview of Chapter 27 – Environment and Climate Action and the identified 72 main legal acts with which we will need to harmonize in the EU accession process. The Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans is a briefing material for a better understanding of economic and investment plan for support of the Western Balkans and the implementation of the Green Agenda. The material answers several key questions about the plan, and identifies the key initiatives in which the funds provided as investments and grants are planned, as well as the already identified projects. Additionally, the material offers information on the promised national participation by the Government, which should facilitate the monitoring of their implementation, and represents the largest project. “Facing Stable Democracies or Taking a Path with Inconsistent Trajectory” is a report from the research for the International Impact Index for 2019 and represents the countries and their international presence in the Republic of North Macedonia.
