The team of the PRESPA Institute is composed by a group of convinced Europeans who all together have more than half a century of experience in International Affairs and Foreign Policy, and European Affairs and Europeanization, public policy development, research, monitoring and advocacy, training and capacity building, communications, financial and project management, as well as civil society and civil society development.
Andreja Stojkovski is the Executive Director of PRESPA Institute.
He graduated at the Faculty of Law of the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and finished his Master’s Studies in EU Law at the University Carlos III in Madrid, as a fellow of the Agency for International Cooperation and Development of the Kingdom of Spain.
Andreja has twenty years of professional experience with the Institutions, as a National Legal Expert on several projects in the area of Environmental Law, Teaching Assistant in Higher Eduation, as well as with Civil Society. After graduation, he started working with the Unit for European Integration at the General Secretariat of the Government where he followed the area justice and home affairs, and worked on harmonization of laws and the first National Programme for the Approximation of the Aquis. As of October 2006, to August 2018 he was part of Civil Society, advocating for the Europeanisation of Society and EU Accession. In this period, he participated actively in many formal consultative processes with the EU Member States, as well as with the European Commission, while coordinating the chapter on Control over the Police and the Security And (Counter)Intelligence Agencies under the Proposal for Urgent Reform Priorities within the Blueprint Group. He was elected as constitutive member of the Council for cooperation and development of civil society of the Government of Republic of North Macedonia. From 2009 to 2015 he was elected as Teaching Assistant at the University American College Skopje. In the period when the European Commission organized the Explanatory Screening for North Macedonia, he was a member of the Negotiating Team as deputy to the Chief Technical Negotiator.
As a member of Civil Society Andreja took part in many processes and represented the country in research projects and conferences.
Andreja is one of the founders of PRESPA Institute, and has been the Executive Director, as of December 2019.
Fellows of PRESPA Institute
Diana Zhupanoska is Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute.
She graduated at the Faculty of Law of the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and earned a Master’s Degree at the Europa Institute of the University of Saarland. In 2012 she passed the Bar Exam, earning a Juris Doctor title.
Diana has more then ten years of professional experience in the Judiciary and in civil society, and acquired substantial research experience through participation in several projects in the areas of Public Administration Reform, Fundamental Rights and Democratization.
In the period from November 2019 to August 2020, Diana was the chairwoman of the Managing Board of PRESPA Institute.
Diana is a Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute since August 2020.
Goran Lazarov is Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute.
He graduated at the Faculty of Law of the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, where he matriculated postgraduate studies in Business Law.
Goran has seven years professional experience in project coordination and implementation. In this period, Goran was particularly active in public opinion research, social science research, as well as monitoring and evaluation of public policies and data analysis.
Goran is a Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute since April 2020.
Martin Nacevski is Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute.
He graduated at the FON University in Skopje, while as a student of the International Double Degree Programme of the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje with the University of Strasbourg, he earned a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law. In 2020 he passed the Bar Exam, earning a Juris Doctor title.
At present, Martin is engaged on a project of the United Nations Development Program and the Regional Cooperation Council, under the frames of the Berlin Process dedicated to Chapter 24 – Freedom, Security and Justice. He has several years of professional experience on projects and in research related to implementation of the EU acquis in North Macedonia, with an emphasis on the areas of employment and social policy, and justice and fundamental rights. In a period of one year, as of October 2016, he completed a Traineeship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante, Spain. After the establishment, over a period of 10 months, beginning in March 2019 he was engaged with the project unit at the Office of the Chief Technical Negotiator for EU Accession.
Martin is one of the founders of PRESPA Institute and was elected as first Chairman of the Institute’s Assembly.
Leposava Ognjanoska is Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute.
She is a Ph.D. Student at the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, where she graduated and in 2016 earned an MA in the field of Law of the European Union, Chapter 23 and Enlargement.
Leposava has more than 6 years of professional experience. She has been working on numerous international projects in various think-tanks related to democratic governance and the rule of law. In 2016, she was engaged as a young researcher within the TRAIN Programme conducted by the German Council on Foreign Relations from Berlin. She has passed the Bar Exam and earned a title Juris Doctor, and worked in the judiciary and prosecution on cases of organized crime and high corruption.
Her main research interests include the deepening and spillover effects of the EU integration process and the protection of the rule of law in that context, Judiciary as filed under the Chapter 23 of the Union acquis, the Enlargement policy and conditionality policy in particular, Europeanisation and transformative power of the Union.

Ognen Vangelov is Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute.
He graduated at the Faculty of Philology at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and earned an MA at the Denver University as a Ron Brown Fellow of the US Government Ognen earned his Ph.D. at the Queens University in Canada as a Fellow of the Canadian Government under the Ontario Trillium Scholarship and the Canada Vanier Graduate Fellowship.
Ognen has approximately 15 years of professional experience in education and scientific-research, as well as with think-tanks. He has taken part at various international scientific conferences and has been published in scientific journals, as well as in professional magazines for a wider audience, such as Foreign Affairs. Currently he teaches several subjects in the field of political science at the University American College in Skopje, while at the same time he is part of international research projects of the Centre for Democracy and Diversity at the Queens University in Canada.
His scientific and research interests are in the areas of comparative politics, democratization and nationalism.

Ivana Jordanovska is a Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute.
She holds a BА in Political Science with a concentration on Transatlantic Relations from the Institute for Political Science in Paris (Sciences Po) and an MA in International Relations from New York University, where she was a Fulbright Fellow.
Her professional experience includes posts in the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she worked on parliamentary oversight and countering and preventing violent extremism. In the period 2017-2018, Ivana was an Adviser for Cooperation with International Organizations to the Prime Minister of North Macedonia.
Her research interests are Transatlantic Relations, Democratization, Cooperation among Authoritarian Regimes and Gender Equality.
Ivana is a Senior Research Fellow of PRESPA Institute since December 2020.
